Juno and InSight Missions Extended

Red Canyon is thrilled that NASA has decided to extend two missions that we supported, Juno and InSight!! We provided our embedded flight software expertise on both missions along with operations of Juno. The Juno spacecraft launched in 2011 and got into a polar orbit around Jupiter in 2016. This extension will enable the craft to explore many moons and the ring system through 2025. In particular, Juno will conduct close flybys of Europa to assess its ice shell and verify the existence of subsurface water. InSight shot into space in 2018, arriving at Mars in just under seven months. Extended through 2022, InSight will now have the opportunity to listen for more marsquakes and learn about the weather on Mars. Go Juno, go InSight!!
