Earth’s Heat Energy Has Doubled in 14 Years

In a 2005 – 2019 study by NASA and NOAA, scientist has found that the amount of heat energy Earth trapped has doubled in that time. Greenhouse gasses like carbon dioxide and methane have caused the heat to be transferred into the sea rather than escaping into space. This increases the amount of snow and ice melting, leading to an increase in water vapor in the atmosphere, intensifying the heat trapped by Earth. These findings are greatly concerning for major catastrophes like larger hurricanes, many psychological effects, and more.

You can do your part to combat climate change! June is Colorado Bike to Work Month. On top of trading in traffic and gas money for exercise, you will help the environment by producing less greenhouse gasses!
