The Next Steps of Artemis II

The aerospace world is abuzz with new NASA’s Artemis II mission announcements!

On March 17th, just 5 months after the launch of Artemis I, the five major structures of the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket’s core stage became fully integrated. Teams are now are work integrating the four RS-25 engines, completing this stage of assembly. The core stage of the SLS rocket stands 212 feet tall, has hundreds of sensors, miles of cables, and the engines will provide SLS with 8.8 million pounds of thrust at liftoff.

Join NASA on April 3rd, when they announce the crew of four astronauts who will fly around the Moon on the Artemis II mission! The Artemis II crew will be the first people to visit the moon in over a half a century. Artemis II is slotted to launch in November 2024!
