Orion Mission Critical: Small Business Support

Apollo made a tremendous impact in history, and Apollo’s twin sister, Artemis, is expected to have make an even bigger mark on history. In 2024, Orion will carry the first woman and next man to the moon! Red Canyon is thrilled to be among the 2,900 small businesses supporting Lockheed Martin Space on this program.  We have made contributions to the proposal, requirements, development, design, testing, and integration.  We worked on the mechanical design and structural analysis of Orion, the Launch Abort System (LAS) – pictured above, as well as Assembly Test and Launch Operations (ATLO), to name a few.  Orion is a critical piece of the Artemis program paving the way for future missions to the Moon, Mars, and beyond; its success could not be achieved without small businesses.
