Close Call with a Meteorite!

Picture yourself lying comfortably in bed close to midnight. All of the sudden, you wake up to the sound of your dog barking and a huge crash somewhere in your house. After wiping debris from your face and looking around, you discover that a 2.8-pound meteorite crashed through the ceiling and landed right in your bed! This remarkable experience happened to 66-year-old Ruth Hamilton in Golden, British Columbia earlier this month. Mendy Ouzillou, Chief Meteorite Officer at Skyfall Meteorites estimates Hamilton’s space rock to be between $50,000 and $127,000!
