On February 18, 2021, the Perseverance rover safely touched down on Mars. Over the past year, Percy has more than 50 gigabytes of scientific data, sent over 100,000 images, set a new record for longest distance traveled in a single day (787 feet), and had collected 6 rock & atmosphere samples for future return missions to earth. Percy is currently on its two-week trip back to its landing-site to collect more rock samples. Afterwards, it will head towards a dried up river delta to get an up-close examination of the lake bed. Upon arrival, Percy will search for signs of ancient microbial life!
