Red Canyon Partners with Peraton on National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s LGSS Contract

Red Canyon Software is extremely proud to join our prime, Peraton, on the winning team supporting the Joint Polar Satellite System (JPSS) Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Ground Sustainment Segment (LGSS) contract. The success of this program would not be possible without the exceptional talent, dedication, and hard work of our collective teams.

Satellites are used for more than exploring the cosmos, they play a crucial role in enhancing and improving the quality of life on our planet. JPSS will monitor Earth’s health by capturing valuable data on climate change, weather patterns, and provide early warning detections for severe weather events. LGSS is a critical part of the JPSS program. It is the ground system and infrastructure that controls and operates JPSS satellites, receive and process the data, and distributes the resulting weather and environmental information to users – and, ultimately, the public!

Here at Red Canyon Software, we are honored to “improve our own” via the LGSS program. Our engineers will direct the quality assurance process, support the software development team, and provide specialized technical system engineering support. We look forward to contributing to this incredible collaboration.
