Clipper’s Flight Hardware is Ready for Assembly

Jupiter’s ice moon Europa is almost within our reach! On the mission to investigate if life is habitable outside Earth, the Europa Clipper has its final instruments arriving to JPL from all over the country and Europe. Over the next 9 months, the flight hardware & scientific tools will be integrated into the spacecraft! Jan Chodas, Europa Clipper Project Manager at JPL, emphasized “It will be very exciting to see the hardware, the flight software, and the instruments get integrated and tested. To me, it’s the next level of discovery. We’ll learn how the system we designed will actually perform.”
