Red Canyon is seeking a self-motivated, detail oriented, goal driven individual to be a flight software engineer on in Centennial, Colorado.

Support United Launch Alliance (ULA) with total lifecycle development of launch vehicle embedded flight software products which are based in the Ada language to provide space launch services for various government customers. These software products interface with all aspects of the space launch vehicle to include guidance & navigation, attitude control, propulsion, propellant management, avionics and ground system interfaces. MIL-STD-1553 and industry standard software development techniques will be used.
The software engineers are required to execute requirements analysis, software design & implementation, and software verification & validation. Through the fundamental understanding of the physical and mathematical sciences, the software engineers translate system and detailed level requirements to unit level software products that are then integrated and tested in a system integration laboratory to verify the product achieves the desired system operational objectives.
The position requires the individual to be co-located at the ULA Centennial Colorado facilities, utilizing, and operating within the ULA flight software development environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Software, Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering from a traditional college or university vs. online degree programs.
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working independently and in a team environment
• Comfortable with SQL, Java, C/C++, HTML, JS, CSS
• Experience in Eclipse
• Understanding of software development to Government Standards
• Experience programming in critical or embedded applications a plus
• Experience with MIL-STD-1553 a plus
• Programming experience in Ada a plus
