Red Canyon is seeking a self-motivated, detail oriented, goal driven individual to be a spacecraft stress analyst engineer on the Orion program.

Responsibilities & Requirements
Candidates must have working knowledge of analysis tools (NASTRAN, FEMAP, SLIM, Matlab, and Mathcad), stress analysis principles, classical stress analysis techniques, and familiarity with fatigue and composites analyses. These individuals will support tasks as directed by the LM Technical POC including, but not limited to, the following:

a. Perform stress analysis of Thermal Protection Systems (TPS) Backshell, Heatshield and FBC structural parts, AETB-8 tiles and Avcoat material using classical techniques and finite element models

b. Perform preliminary and final analyses, part sizing, fatigue/fracture assessment, drawing coordination and sign-off test, test support and correlation, analysis presentations, and documentation of analyses for deliverable stress and fracture reports

Candidates should have 3-8 years of experience in the design and development of high temperature composite substrates and thermal protection systems utilizing heritage and development TPS materials.

We also work on classified programs.
