Red Canyon is seeking a self-motivated, detail oriented, goal driven individual to be a spacecraft stress analyst engineer on the Orion program.

Responsibilities & Requirements
Provide Stress analysis support to the Orion Service Module IPT. Tasks as directed by the LM Technical POC shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
a. Stress Analyst on the Orion Service Module Mechanisms team.
Tasks shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
Perform finite element and classical stress analysis of miscellaneous Orion mechanical elements for both the development, test, and flight vehicles.
Perform preliminary and final analyses, part sizing, fatigue/fracture assessment, drawing coordination and sign-off, test support and correlation, analysis presentation documentation of analyses for deliverable stress and fracture reports.
Perform analysis of discrepant hardware during on-going assembly and integration activity. Discrepancies are conveyed through the LM Quality organization via Qno and applicable existing analysis will be provided by the LM PoC. The candidate must utilize existing analysis provided by LM and supplement with additional analysis candidate must determine if the as-built hardware has margin erosion due to the discrepancy noted. All findings must be reported to LM PoC for final hardware disposition.
This task will be performed primarily at the LM facility in Houston, Texas (NASA/Clear Lake) with travel as directed by LM to other locations as required.

We also work on classified programs.
