Red Canyon is seeking stress analysts of all levels. We have openings for support on satellites including interplanetary missions as well as multi-mission cargo vehicles.

Required Technical Skills:
• Mechanical Engineer with experience performing finite element and classical stress analysis, preferably on spacecraft or aircraft structures.
• Proficient in NASTRAN and Femap
• Experience with Mathcad and MATLAB
• Experience performing fracture and/or fatigue analysis
• Test Planning, report generation, margin management, control board presentations, loads assimilation & tracking, and model-based design
Desired Skills:
• Experience analyzing flight mechanisms
• Experience with analysis of composite material systems
• NASA and/or FAA structural design standards
• Designing for spacecraft load and environments
• Experience with structural testing
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Mechanical Engineering
• Strong technical and communicative skills
• Self-motivated, detail oriented, and goal driven
• Passionate about space exploration

Red Canyon contracts with NASA, NREL (National Renewable Energy Lab), DoD, Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, Honeywell, Millennium Engineering, United Launch Alliance, Harris Inc., SAIC, Lewis & Fowler, Ball Aerospace, Sierra Nevada Corporation, and Raytheon among others. We specialize in building spacecraft, developing renewable energy technologies to help make our planet a better world and cutting edge research and development. Our disciplines include systems engineering, mechanical design, structural analysis, real time flight and ground software, simulation software, user interface software, and mission management software. We help our contractors with the full life cycle of product development from requirements to test and delivery.

Some of the programs we have previously or currently worked on include: Mars 98, Odyssey 01, Stardust, Genesis and Deep Impact, Mars Phoenix, Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, Orion, Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, GOES-R, OSIRIS-REx, Maven, JUNO, Grail, and the MarsFlight and LunarSIM Simulation. We also work on classified programs.

Red Canyon’s home office is located in scenic Denver, Colorado, and our regional office is in historic downtown Titusville, Florida.
