Red Canyon is seeking a self-motivated, detail oriented, goal driven Senior Systems Engineer on the KLXS-II program at Kennedy Space Center (KSC). This Senior Systems Engineer will be a key member of the management team for the Ground Systems Development and Operations (GSDO) Program at KSC, Florida.

The GSDO Program Office at Kennedy Space Center (KSC) has an opening for an Electrical Project Manager supporting the Mobile Launcher Project. The candidate will provide electrical engineering support, technical integration and project management expertise for the ML team for the EM-1 & EM-2 missions.
Description of Duties:
• The Electrical Project Manager will be expected to actively manage and balance technical, cost, and schedule requirements for associated projects. The candidate will be expected to provide leadership & technical direction to diverse Integrated Project Teams (IPT). The candidate will be expected to coordinate resource requirements and will be expected to integrate internally within subsystems, projects, and with Architectural Engineering Subcontractors as well as technical customers and associate contractors.
• The candidate will provide technical oversight and direction to Electrical Subsystems, including facility systems, and work with Element Project Manager (EPM) and Deputy EPM to ensure successful integration of the design packages and ensure compliance of the design products with program requirements. The candidate will be involved with the technical evaluation of design and requirements verification, and technical evaluations for fiscal year proposals. Pedigree and quality documentation closure, leading failure review teams to closure, vetting critical tests and analyses; taking part in status reviews and Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs).
• Candidate will be experienced in working with integrated product engineering teams involved with multiple subsystems with a strong safety mindset. Provide practical application of electrical engineering skills to systems performing flight and ground system electrical engineering functions while meeting customer expectations, system functional requirements and NASA program requirements.
• Assist in the development of schedules, presentations, status reports, weekly notes. Develop studies and assessments associated with new or revised requirements and adjustments in program schedules and milestones.
• Develop and present briefings, studies, analyses, assessments, and recommendations to NASA senior leaders, and/or various customers’.
• Candidate must have a Bachelor of Science Degree (BS)
• Masters of Science (MS)
• PhD
• Additional years of related experience for the specific skills specified can be substituted for a PhD.

• A minimum of 15-20 years of experience in engineering and systems engineering integration. Relevant experience should include interactions with NASA, and/or commercial launch operations, commercial spaceport operations, or launch vehicle and spacecraft systems.
• Must have extensive knowledge of the processes and procedures required to ensure the safe development of electrical systems and subsystems.
• Must be a self-starter with strong problem-solving skills – able to identify and solve tackle challenges with minimal direction. Possess good morals and be able to adapt to frequent changes in a dynamic environment.
• Experience should also include development of requirements, ability to read and understand complex electrical designs and have the ability to provide concise feedback through the design reviews process. Candidate must possess excellent written, oral, and presentation communication skills, and be proficient in MS office products, specifically Excel.
• Energetic, self-motivated, team player
• Good organization skills to multi-task and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desired Skills and Competencies:
• Excellent customer relations and teamwork skills, technical problem solving and analytical skills.
• Working knowledge of the Government space programs process and procedures is highly desired.
