Red Canyon is seeking a self-motivated, detail oriented, goal driven Thermal Stress Analyst to work on an exciting multi-mission spacecraft in the Denver, CO area.

The Thermal Protection System (TPS) element of the multi-mission vehicle is seeking a Systems Engineer to support stress analysis of TPS components. The TPS team is a product development oriented team that focuses upon the creation of flight hardware and clear documentation within strict schedule constraints.

Understand, plan, and execute technical activities in accordance with client policies, procedures, and work instructions and specific Customer requirements
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings and schematics
Originate specifications, control documents, verification and validation plans, procedures, reports, or other documentation in support of design and development activities
Work with other Engineers to implement operating procedures, resolve system issues and provide technical information
Prepare material for, and conduct, periodic design reviews
Ensure conformance of products with Engineering design and performance specifications
Execute engineering design and development activities consistent with Customer quality, cost, and schedule requirements
Conduct research that test and analyze the feasibility, design, operation and performance of equipment, components and systems
Estimate costs and submit bids for Engineering

Punctuality to work each day and prepared to work scheduled work hours
Other duties as assigned

Report Generation
Margin Management
Control Board Presentations
Margin Management
Loads Assimilation and Tracking
Report Generation and Signature Authority
Test Plan Development
Test Data Assimilation
NX (preferred) or other CAD
Model based design
Preferred: Brittle Materials, Ceramics
Preferred: Structures for aircraft, spacecraft, or launch vehicles
NASA and/or FAA structural design standards
Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
Designing for spacecraft loads and environments
Work within integrated, multi-discipline teams
Small team leadership
Ability to rapidly work with minimal supervision on projects involving both small and large engineering teams
Ability to travel occasionally required
Minimum physical requirements to perform all duties and responsibilities, as defined by management
Previous experience and skills in project definition, simulation, implementation, lab integration and test
Must be able to work in a highly collaborative, fast paced environment with emphasizes in rapid prototyping and fielding of capabilities

Requires a BS Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering and 6+ years of experience
