Red Canyon is seeking a self-motivated, detail oriented, goal driven Windows-Linux System Admin on the DSIO program at Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, CA.

Raytheon Pasadena is looking for a System Administrator to work with a team of System Administrators supporting customers located at Raytheon as well as at the customer site at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

The successful candidate will have experience as a Windows and Linux System Administrator.

Duties include but are not limited to:
· All aspects of system administration including installation, configuration, implementation, and maintenance of Windows and Linux servers
· Building, configuring, and troubleshooting open source and commercial applications
· System backups and restoration
· User support including documentation

Required Clearance:
Clearance is not required for this position.
No VISA Sponsorship

Required Skills:
Minimum system administration requirements
5-year experience administering Windows Server
2-year experience administering Linux (CentOS/RHEL preferred)
2-year experience with general Amazon Web Services such as EC2

Some experience with containers and container orchestration such as
Docker Swarm

Some experience with automation tools such as

Some experience with cloud orchestration tools such as
AWS Cloudformation

Must have experience supporting applications in an enterprise environment including
Configuration of application parameters and settings
Creating and modifying user requested projects and other application customizations
Must have excellent communication skills

Desired Skills:
Experience with the following applications is a plus:
Xebia Release and Deploy
Some programming experience required. Experience in bash and/or python

Education / Work Experience:
B.S./B.A. with a minimum of 6 years of experience that demonstrate technical, communication and development skills. May substitute experience for education.

Some of the programs we have previously or currently worked on include: Mars 98, Odyssey 01, Stardust, Genesis and Deep Impact, Mars Phoenix, Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, Orion, Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, GOES-R, OSIRIS-REx, Maven, JUNO, Grail, and the MarsFlight and LunarSIM Simulation. We also work on classified programs.
