Space Fact of the Week
Survey the Sky with Pan-STARRS
Located in Hawaii, the Panoramic Survey Telescope and Rapid Response System (Pan-STARRS) telescope, like many, studies the depths of the universe. Able to observe 75 percent of the sky while using a 1.4 billion-pixel camera, the data collected is now accessible to everyone. This telescope differs from others in that it does not focus on only one part of the sky, rather, its wide visibility and continuous movement allow us to see the ever-changing universe in action.
