Space Fact of the Week
Parker Ready for Launch
Early on Saturday, August 11th, NASA's Parker Solar Probe will be making its way to the Sun's atmosphere, or corona, to learn even more about our star! Not only is this spacecraft the fastest in history, it is also one that will reach the closest proximity to the Sun than ever before. Parker will take three months to reach the Sun, with the help of Venus, and we will be able to collect data starting in December. Wondering why the Parker Solar Probe won't melt?
